It’s your victory because as a public servant, my job is to work for you, and together we will continue to do that.
Thanks to John Garrido as well. He ran a great campaign and brought attention to some issues that we need to work on together. When we spoke last night, he said he isn’t going to run again. I know he’ll work with me over the next four years to put this divisive campaign behind us and unite our neighborhoods.
In 2011, you chose a new direction. And now in 2015, we’ve put the nail in the coffin of old-school, Chicago machine-style politics in the 45th Ward.
We’ve got a bright future ahead of us here in the 45th Ward. I look forward to working with you and with everyone in the Ward to continue moving our neighborhoods in the right direction.
