Thank you again for supporting my re-election campaign. Together, we won the most votes in Tuesday’s election.
As I’m sure you know, politics in Chicago can be a funny game. One of the rules is that winning the most votes doesn’t necessarily mean winning the election — candidates like me have to break the 50 percent mark.
We always knew we would win the most votes. It was just a question of breaking that 50 percent mark the first go-round or getting it done in a runoff.
We’re ready to finish the job on April 7. I’m fired up, my campaign staff is fired up, and I hope you’re fired up for the 45th Ward. Let’s get ready for Round Two together and continue to move our neighborhoods forward.
