Shakespeare in the Parks

Shakespeare in the Parks

One of Chicago’s favorite traditions returns to Wilson Park, 4630 N. Milwaukee, August 12-13. This year, actors will perform a 75-minute abridged production of Romeo and Juliet.

One of the Shakespeare’s most popular plays, this family-friendly feature tells the story of two star-crossed lovers in Verona, Italy. The feud between the Capulets and the Montagues runs long and deep. Romeo and Juliet’s forbidden love disrupts the town and ends in tragedy.

The performance will take place on Saturday, August 12, starting at 6:30 pm and again on Sunday, August 13, starting at 4:00 pm. For more information or to view other Chicago Shakespeare Theater events, visit their website.
