It’s that time of the year – the Northwest Side Irish Parade is this Sunday. If you haven’t marched with the 45th Ward Dems before, make this your first year. If you have, you know how much fun it is! Let us know if you are interested. We are lining up around 11am at Onahan School (6634 W Raven St). The parade kicks off at noon. You'll have a great time and get a free button!

We will also be marching across the Ward this coming weekend and on Election Day to elect candidates that we are supporting – including my campaign for re-election as committeeman, Kim Foxx for Cook County State’s Attorney, and Judge Eve Marie Reilly for 10th Judicial Subcircuit. Today is the last day you can vote early. Early voting for the 45th Ward is at the 16th District Police Station, 5151 N. Milwaukee. Voters can vote early until 7 pm tonight. Come to a neighborhood assembly to share your ideas and help decide how to spend YOUR tax dollars. Every year, each alderman is allocated $1.3 million in Aldermanic Menu funds -- yes, there is literally a menu to spend on infrastructure.  In most wards, this money is allocated by the alderman, with varying degrees of input from city departments, staff, and residents.
