The community is invited to attend a public meeting to provide input on the design of new public artwork at the Addison and Irving Park Blue Line stations on Monday, June 12, from 6:00-7:30 PM at the Independence Park Field House, 3945 N. Springfield Avenue.

Francesco Simeti was selected by the Chicago Transit Board to create a site-specific installation at the Addison Blue Line station. He is known for creating thought provoking imagery using wallpapers, sculptures, and 3D collage. His work has been featured both nationally …

Help Homeless Veterans by Donating Basic Household Items & Toiletries

My office is partnering with Operation Help-A-Hero for the second annual donation drive.

There are currently hundreds of homeless veterans who live either unsheltered or in shelters throughout the city. When a veteran leaves a shelter or transitional home to move into a more permanent residence, they often do not have basic household items.
